3/24/2024 0 Comments Ascii art with only one character![]() ![]() Scaling the render was important to gain in performance and object handling. Contrast also because some pictures or objects may be too low contrasted to generate a great render. Creativity comes when user have free hands over processus. It was obvious for me that we can’t force people to use a closed set of characters. More than « Ascii-ing » content within InDesign, my idea was to give control over a few parameters.Characters for instance. Once again, we do not care here about absolute precision. Don’t forget that pixel values are indeed numbers and their translation may leed to some calculation leaks and in fine to a gap. ExtendScript has its own cooking and we are getting the RGB value from another calculation. If we can understand that ICC profiles may affect the RGB values in Photoshop, it’s more suprising to have gaps between AS3 and ExtendScript. Well, I think it’s quite understandable. Once again, the result differs from Photoshop and Bridge. The last function ( HexToRGB ) comes from this link : Is this information correct ? Let see what Photoshop tells us: Var bmd = new BitmapData ( File ( th.path )) Īlert( "Red:"+clr.red+"\rGreen:"+clr.green+"\rBlue:"+clr.blue) A ) BitmapData in Adobe BridgeĪdobe Bridge offers an access to an image BitmapDatas though its DOM. Given a selection in Bridge, the following snippet reveals the RGB value of the first pixel of the image. I will introduce both approaches and then speak a little about the product. As I am delivering an extension, you can understand that I picked the second one. One was pure extendscript using the Adobe Bridge DOM and the other was using the AS3 BitmapData class. In my development, I envisioned two leads. So once you initiated this class, you can now read informations like width, height and every pixel composition. So the question is how to we play ourselves in order to introduce ASCII Art within InDesign ? The answer is called BitmapData. BitmapData is a class that give access to the raw structure of an image. But let’s stick to a simple definition of ASCII Art as a way to express ideas and images by ordering characters in a certain way. If we are more open minded and consider ASCII Art as playing with characters and typography, then the history is quite older. If we only considered the computer side, then ASCII Art is quite recent. It’s hard to state when ASCII Art appeared. If you ever wanted a cool and easy way to play with ASCII Art within InDesign, download the extension and free your mind Do you want to keep the underlying material or remove it ? Just ask it ! Is it possible the render isn’t contrasted enough ? You can boost the contrast to get a better result ? Is the result too large, reduce the scale of the output ! Do you want to use your own character set ? Well, just edit the characters associated to the tonal ranges. Thanks to an extension, you can now generate ASCII Art from images but also shapes, text frames, groups and so forth. Not only I can convert images but any kind of content into ASCII Art. How could I possibly introduce that idea within InDesign ? Finally, I succeeded in getting this done. ![]() The concept is easy : take an image and translate every pixel into a representative character. ![]() Do you like ASCII Art ? Me too ! A few weeks ago, I have been started thinking if it could be possible to generate ASCII Art from any regular InDesign Content. ![]() 3/24/2024 0 Comments Taptap send account sham![]() ![]() ![]() Please make sure to follow these guidelines and the overall Zettle Terms & Conditions, and you can rest assured we will do everything in our power to support you. that the cardholder's signature is on the back of the card and that it matches the signature input on the screenĪs an additional security measure, you can check the cardholder's ID to see that it matches the name on the card. This means that, as a guiding principle: When the payment is confirmed with chip & PIN liability rests with the card holder, while with chip & signature it lies with the merchant.īut provided that you adhere to our Terms & Conditions and apply sound judgement and fraud-risk-awareness, we will do our utmost to make sure that you will receive funds swiftly and securely into your bank account.įraud-risk-awareness implies verifying the following information: When using chip & signature, merchants ultimately have responsibilities that include making sure that cards used belong to the person presenting the card. In Norway toll roads are managed by AutoPASS with toll booths that take photos of your license plate automatically and send a bill at the end of the month. But here’s a brief overview: Toll Roads in Norway I’ve written a more detailed guide to everything you need to know about driving in Norway here. And it’s always incredibly difficult to drive in Norway on year-round tires! Driving in Norway My family has rented cars during the winter in Germany before and then driven up to Norway with them. This isn’t the case in other places in Europe, though. Or at least make sure you get a minimum of 200 – 300 km a day, depending on what you have planned.Īnd don’t worry, all cars in Norway have to have winter tires in the winter by law. You’ll also likely be covering huge distances, as Norway is a really big country, so I always opt of unlimited mileage. Norwegian laws are quite strict with car rental companies, so you can rest assured that any car rental agency in Norway will be reliable.Īnd as fuel in Norway is expensive, definitely go for the smallest, most fuel efficient car you can find. I always recommend Auto Europe for car rentals in Norway because they compare prices to give you the best deal. ![]() But! If you book well in advance you can actually get some really good deals on car rentals in Norway too. Of course the bad news is, it’s still going to be expensive.Īt least, a car rental in Norway is going to cost more than rentals in southern Europe where you can get a car for like $50 per week. Plus driving in Norway is really easy, as the roads are all well-maintained and there’s very little traffic. The good news is, if you’re traveling with multiple people, renting a car in Norway is going to be a lot cheaper than relying on public transport here. Car rental in Norway – things to know about renting a car in Norway You can purchase the Norway Travel Guides here. Norway Travel Guides! I’ve gathered all my best advice for planning an incredible trip through Southern and Northern Norway in two 95-page ebooks covering my top recommendations for places to visit (both on and off the beaten path), the best times of year to visit, how long to visit for, the best accommodation choices, transportation, what to eat, what to pack, and how to plan the perfect itinerary. I mean, with Norway’s nonstop breathtaking nature it’s kind of impossible to have a bad road trip here, but here my best tips for making yours truly epic. ![]() While I’ve now been living in Norway for eight years, I’ve also spent most all of my summers in Norway since I was a kid (visiting family here), so I’ve definitely learned a thing or two about the whole process of renting a car and planning a road trip in Norway. If you’re looking for the perfect Norway road trip itinerary, I have put together over thirty Norway itineraries here, most of which are best done by car. So by renting a car in Norway you can potentially save on transportation AND accommodation. Renting a car in Norway is actually a really good option for budget travelers not only because public transport is expensive here, but also because the cheapest accommodation options are usually outside of the main tourist areas where buses might only pass through once or twice a day. Plus, public transport can also be really expensive in Norway, so if you’re traveling with other people and want to see as much of Norway as possible, you’re definitely best off renting a car here. Luckily driving in Norway is an amazing experience – in fact I tell everyone who visits that they have to consider a road trip when planning a trip to Norway! I have lived in Norway for eight years, and all of my best trips here have been road trips. I mean, if you stick to the cities then public transport will be fine, but if you want to venture into the countryside? You’ll need to rent a car for that in Norway. I love places where you can easily get around using solely public transportation, but unfortunately Norway isn’t really one of those places. ![]() ![]() Similarly, Netflix files Trivia Quest under the interactive tag, but it isn’t an interactive story like the entries below. Useful for what it’s meant for, but not so much for a story experience. You can customize from there, but it’s just a glorified menu. The only interactive part of this is picking which Headspace program you want: meditation, relaxation, or sleep. This shouldn’t even really count as an interactive experience, but Netflix has labeled it as an Interactive, so we’re mentioning it. Honorable mention: Headspace: Unwind Your Mind This ranked list considers how much fun each Netflix interactive special is, what kind of stories they’re telling, and whether your choices actually have any effect on the overall story. The service’s latest interactive special, Choose Love, finally dives into the seeking-romance genre that’s been such a hit for Netflix reality shows like Love Is Blind and The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On. Still, Netflix continues to drop the occasional interactive story, and we’re continuing to rank each one based on how interactive it actually is. These Choose Your Own Adventure-style stories were some of Netflix’s more distinctive offerings for a short while, but fewer of them are being produced now as Netflix’s focus shifts toward more fully realized games, like the mini masterpiece Laya’s Horizon. Wild marked a new phase for Netflix’s interactive shows, which started off with relatively simple interactive experiments for kids in 2017, designed to test the waters for actual Netflix games down the road.
